I own the G15 for my main gaming rig and use a Das Keyboard Professional Silent at work. It has the cherry brown switches which have a light tactile feel to them and are fairly quiet for a mech keyboard. I'm not sure that the brown switches would be the best for gaming since they are so light but some people prefer them. The Das Pro Silent seems very well made and durable. They can be had for around 110-120 dollars from online retailers. Good luck!

Over at elitekeyboards.com they have leopolds which are good keyboards. They have them in all cherry switches for $99-109 though the clear switches are limited edition.

Another good option is a noppoo choc mini on ebay. They come in all switches but clear and are usually under $100. I would suggest buying from the ebay seller qtan if you go this route.

As a transition from the G15, the MX Browns would be most similar, and that's how I broke into mechanical keyboards. After rotating around blacks and blues, I'm still with my browns after all this time. Even if for gaming, the extra click from a blue might annoy you a bit if all you do is game.
