[BI] Yes, Apple's Building A TV - Page 15

sony Bravia Sync already controls everything. (if you have everything sony that is )

I don't even need a controller to use my PS3 as a bluray player because the TV's remote can easily do it. It even controls my Home theatre system. So 1 remote for everything

And people are going to say Apple did Smart TV's first, despite Smart TV's existing for a while already and GoogleTV using Android. *sigh*

I don't necessarily believe that entirely, however based on my very limited and quite possibly wrong knowledge of Android back then, it was originally a BB Clone both hardware and software wise and after the release of the iPhone it suddenly become an iPhone clone, both hardware and software wise. You've got many different UI layers or whatever they're called like TouchWiz and so on which are default unless on a Google phone.

I'll doubly say I'm not saying any of this is true or that I agree with Apple here entirely (I do a little with specific things I don't care to argue) or that I'm actually trying argue it's accurate, and I'm quite possibly wrong about what I said about Android. I'm sure there's a more knowledgable user who could add on (accurate facts) to this if they wanted.

Strictly speaking, no it isn't a rebrand, but it's the most convenient way to explain it.

Apple TV, Google TV, built in apps on a Vizio... Just build a media PC for Gods sake.

I built mine for around $300 and bought a remote control sized keyboard off of Ebay for $35. It allows me to do more than any Apple TV or whatever will. As for talking to the TV... I'll stick with typing and clicking for what I need. It's not that difficult to do.

Other TVs don't have Siri and are not touch screen.

You got a problem with Apple? or you just can't afford their stuff? or both?

I just haven't seen a strong resemblance, I'm not trying to say you do, or anyone else does. I try to not get myself involved in the Apple vs whoever argument, its just silly.
