Is there weapon specs for BF3 like there was for BC2?

Like I can't find anything to give me the advantages and disadvantages of each gun.

I'm pretty sure they have to be developed by the community, as will the wiki's and "how to play" videos etc. etc. Game was just released so it might be some time before we get detailed info like that available. Unless the dev's release it, but I doubt that.

Definitely looking forward to that material though.

Although it's inconvenient that there are no specs I think it's better this way. It forces people to try out every gun and get used to it instead of going for the "best" weapon unlock and using that until the cows come home.

I believe the data in .ini or data files in BC2 so it was easy to compile the info.

"Best" is not always universal to everyone.

I would like specs to do analysis to see which suits my style. (i.e. XM8 was the best AR for me in BC2)

granted that I am only level 8, i think all the weapons I've used so far have been very balanced. I love the M4A1 and Ak-74u.
