Just know that the supplied heatsinks are aluminum. Many people purchase copper ones separate for better cooling on the vram and such.

Those should work as they are shorter; thus being fine on clearance. I am trying to find an example of someone who used those for the same reason just to see what they have to say.

But the switch from aluminum to copper is up to you. If you aren't going to be pushing your card too much, properly seated aluminum heatsinks will do just fine.

EDIT:

Here ya go.
http://www.overclock.net/ati-cooling...k-warning.html

He didn't use the accelero but the same Enzotech bcc9 copper heatsinks on his memory. Turned out to be worth it for him.

The previous link on the accelero for $70 did not include the heatsinks. If there is a link to the accelero with everything for $70, I am having trouble finding it.

The 70 one also needs a mounting kit form AC, the $85 one comes with everything (the extreme II) for $15 more I can get a water block but I dont plan on having this card much longer.

That's entirely up to you. You can use this cooler to the next graphics card either AMD or Nvidia and will not have clearence issues with heatsinks. While the $50 + $14 = $64 might not compatible with the current cards if you plan to get a new card.

Look at the compatibility of this cooler with everything included for various of cards. http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/vg...e-plus-ii.html
