It's a 4X space RTS game, with real time space combat. (It has actual damage calculations, complex armor and damage systems and maneuvering. None of the Sins of the Solar Empires crap, it's actually fun and entertaining to watch.)

I would rather look into SotS 1 right now, SotS 2 will take at least 4 weeks to fix, as it's a buggy mess right now.

I played a little SWOTS 1 earlier. I kind of like it. Combat is a little weird. I don't get why they didn't add ship retrofitting in the 1st game. I'll probably pick up 2 when is at $15 or under during the xmass sale. I have more of an urge to buy MoO2 again though.

Honestly, I could live with the game as is for quite a while, just the random crashes need to be fixed, like now. I get into a game, and it goes well, I go to end turn, and it crashes. The patch tomorrow better start to resolve these random crashes, I almost threw my computer out the window because of it earlier. Thank god for autosave.

Yeah SoTS2 is a mess at the moment...I don't know what happened. If it was this bad they should have postposed the launch. Though the letter to players the head of Kerberos sent out recently made it almost sound like something happened to the code...like a lot was lost or something.

I don't get crashes in the game, but it will hung up every now and then. End Turn will be greyed out and I can click on the stuff in the map but I can't open any windows.

Though the only thing I can't live with is when I send a fleet out on a mission they will complete it and then return automatically...if it would stay then I could survey one turn and colonize the next. Exploration is taking far too long since my ships return to their home system each time.

Amen to that. This aggrevates me to no end as well. Or you send your fleet out for an invasion, and it decides it is time to head back to the home planet after one or 2 battles.

Oh, the battles. When the fleet does stay in system, they start at the same point every time, so you have to make the same trek to a plant of fleet location every time the battle loads. Drives me crazy, and makes things so much harder to perform. Kerberos should really allow the customers to keep a retainer fee for this. That way they don't get paid if it is not fixed. Just my .02 since I can't post on the paradox site due to being too green yet.....
