For the most part, it falls between the 5870 and 6950 by a small portion. I cant say which is better at overclocking but from personal experience I have had more luck with AMD gpus.

560 is between a GTX 460 and AMD HD 6870.

560 Ti is somewhere between a AMD HD 6870 and AMD HD 6950 / GTX 470 depending upon the game.

A 470 and 6950 are not on par, 470 at stock is a lot slower only just ahead of a 5850.

The 470 is about on par with a 5870. It's faster clock for clock than a 560ti, and generally are great overclockers. They're severely underclocked at 607mhz out of the box.
In progress.

Yea but they run at higher clocks with the same voltage. Some may consider them binned 460's, but in all honesty over time the production process of certain chips gets better. Same reason intel released the 920, then the 930, 950, 960, etc.

560 is more than just a clocked up 460. While its true they have the same amount of shaders the 560 is the better card because it will always be able to clock higher.

560 ti has an improved core over regular 560, they have more shaders, produce less heat and are quieter

And the 560 TI can overclock to around GTX570 levels easily. Most cards can overclock to the next one up.
