What happens if I go over 1.55v on my 1090t?

Thread Starter
Hi all!
I have OC'd my 1090t on my Asus M4N98TD EVO board to 4ghz.
Because of the massive amounts of vdroop this board encounters under load I have my cpu voltage is set at 1.55 to acheive this clock speed.
However under load my voltage can drop as low as 1.425 volts, at idle it will creep back up to the 1.55v that I have set in the bios.
So my question is this - Is it safe for me to go over the 1.55v mark?
I'm bored and want to push this chip a bit further just for kicks.
All the details you should need are in my siggy, if you need more hit me up!
Thanks!!!!

I have been putting 1.57 thru mine for well over a year now, 1.59 from time to time.

As long as temps are down I dont see it as a problem.

How much higher will you go?

How is your load?

You can go higher but be careful as it will run very hot!

Keep a eye on the temps and up it gently dont jump up to 1.65 in one shot.

I wouldnt go any higher than 1.65 unless your temps are under 80 under heavy load.

I have been running prime95 for 13 hours now and my cpu temp is reading 51c, core temps of 37c.
How much juice will I have too feed this thing to get say 4.4ghz?

You're fine.

And if you're set on 4.4G's, try a little more juice. As long as temps are low you're ok.

Well no matter what I try I can't get this puppy stable at speeds above 4ghz.
I guess I'll head over to the m4n98td owners club and see if any of those guys have had any joy.

If you are concerned about it you can use the power options so it doesn't idle so high. It won't be a problem though
