Is your 560 TI overclocked? Mines at 900 MHZ and that seems to be a decent boost over the stock 850 MHZ.

But if your really getting a ton of frame rate drops, it is probably a driver issue as most people were saying (I'm assuming you already updated your drivers though?). Although it could be possible that your gpu or cpu is starting to deteriorate, or you have a computer virus, etc.

I have the drivers that came out for the beta. Has there been an update since? I'm not at home tonight, I'll be checking that tomorrow.

What kind of fps are you getting? and how much AA?

My card is a 980 core and 1250 memory, I'm not sure about the shaders but I think they're locked to the core anyway.

I don't think my cpu or gpu are deteriorating since I pass 12h of p95 blend and don't crash in any games.

A virus is also unlikely.

Edit: good idea, I'm going to try my cpu at stock clocks..

I stay away from furmark now after the 570 issues.. I usually just run may favorite games and 3dmark vantage. If they lock up, artifacting, etc. I lower the clocks a bit and try again.

Yeah there was actually a new nvidia driver that came out on sunday, or monday. And it is specifically for battlefield 3 pretty much. So if you don't have the new driver that could be it as well.

You're definitely not getting a bottleneck, I can max out BF3 at 1080p with 4x AA and hit 90% GPU usage easily with my CPU, which is far worse. (2.66Ghz, slower clock for clock, dual core)

Wait... what!? I saw some big inconsistencies with my 4GHz Wolfdale, and I was pretty sure they were CPU related. This was on the beta in multiplayer, mind you.

By the way, your CPU is not really slower clock for clock. At worst, it's probably on par.

I can speak from experience that your CPU is not at all a bottleneck. I just went from a X4 955 with my 560Ti OC'ed to 1000 core 2 weeks ago to my SB 2500K now, with the exact same 560Ti. They score the exact same graphics score on any benchmark. Now your CPU itself can be a bottleneck at times, but doubtful, but it will not bottleneck your video card. 2 560Tis in SLI, then you may see some bottle necking.

It's probably GPU driver related as someone said.
There is no way a 955 at 4GHz can bottleneck a single GPU.

Nah, Phenom II is a tad faster than Wolfdale clock for clock to a lot faster when you used more than 1 core and/or overclocked the CPU/NB.

And maybe I'm lucky, but I only got a bit of stuttering overall, but that's in SP. (Waiting for patches and friends to get it before I do MP)
Best bit is it also proves PCIe 2.0 is unnecessary for nearly anyone considering I've got a 945G chipset.

Countless things I've seen show otherwise, such as this. I know Anandtech's CPU benchmarks are not the be all, end all, but it's an example, and power consumption aside (which surprised me as being in favor of the Phenom II), the Phenom II wins but a single performance comparison, and barely, while it loses consistently, sometimes almost badly, in all the others.

Some put it slightly behind even Conroe (which is what that E6700 is anyway; not a Wolfdale), such as this. If we advise Anandtech again (and keep in mind the Phenom II has a 100MHz advantage, as I found no Conroe and Phenom II with the same core count at the same clock speeds), I'd say even the Conroe is still ahead more often than not, albeit only very slightly, so I'd put them on equal footing (this is, of course, going on clock for clock performance only; a Phenom II will generally cost less and clock fairly higher than a Conroe).

The Phenom IIs had to compete with the later Core 2 Quads and Core iX series by having higher clock speeds (that should say something) and lower price points. If they performed better, and were clocked higher, you wouldn't have seen them priced so low. In the end, yes, I'd put them at the same level, and they cost a lot less as Intel left Core 2 prices high, but clock for clock, your chip isn't any worse, which was all I was saying.

Admittedly though, that doesn't take the Northbridge overclocking into things, but I presumed your were originally making that claim for a more stock Phenom II.

Anyway, sorry for digressing as much. Either way, I'm still surprised your CPU did as well as you claim. I had a very inconsistent experience in the multiplayer beta (the smaller Metro map), with the FPS going from 50FPS-60FPS+ at it higher times, down to ~30FPS or a hair under at others, and I was pretty sure it was the CPU. I could be wrong, however, but I would be shocked if this CPU could pull much in a heavy multiplayer game.

I worded that wrong, I meant that Phenom II is a lot faster clock for clock than Wolfdale with an OCed CPU/NB especially when using multiple cores, but in the real world there certainly isn't a difference as big as most benchmarks show, I've been going between Wolfdale, Conroe and Deneb quite a bit recently and I can attest to that.
