Beeping - Help Please :)

My friend has a DELL OEM computer and he just bought a 560TI. It only had 1 6pin, so he went out and bought a second PSU.

He has everything in the computer plugged into the DELL PSU.

Then, he has JUST the 2 6pin GPU connectors plugged into the GPU from the new PSU.

He is getting beeping noises and the system won't load. Any ideas?

The new PSU is a Cooler Master GX 650W. The DELL OEM is a 550w. Don't know make/model.

does he have both the 24 pin and the 4 pin connect hooked up to the mobo, could be that the 4 pin isnt connected, maybe RAM became loose

We actually just fixed it. We just used the 24pin from the new PSU and put that in the motherboard. I guess you can't have one PSU powering the MB and the other PSU powering the GPU connectors since the GPU is plugged into the MB being powered by the other PSU?

Weird.

not weird, a psu gets a singal on the 24 pin from the mobo that the power button has been hit, a psu is off by default.
