Mionix Zibal 60 or Filco Ninja tactile?

Hello, I'm looking to buy a new mechanical keyboard.

I've narrowed down to two choices, Mionix Zibal 60 and Filco Ninja Tactile.

I'm a college student who types a lot and plays lots of games. I usually alternate my playing times between League of Legends and some fps.

So, with that in mind, which one would you recommend? I am aware of the differences between cherry mx black and brown keys, but I can't quite make the choice.

Backlighting, while it is cool, is not mandatory. Media controls are also convenient, but not an absolute must. So it all really comes down to the keycaps.

I been using Microsoft Sidewinder x6 for number of years now and never used a mech keyboard before. I currently get around 110 wpm.

here are the links to the keyboards.

ps. I'm also considering Leopold FC500 cherry blue, but I'm trying to stay away from them as I've heard they they are quiet loud. Just how loud are they compared to a rubber dome keyboard?

pss. If it makes any difference, I usually write my papers on my Thinkpad x1.

I much prefer brown switches than black switches, so I'd rather have the Filco out of those 2. However, switch type is preference and you really shouldn't let others tell you which to get. The blues are waay louder than a rubber dome, they easily the loudest Cherry MX switch.

Well, I've been looking around numerous forums for weeks now and I couldn't make a decision.

I tend to like things with a bit of tactile response. Does that mean I should go with ninja?

But that Zibal 60 looks so damn sexy... (wrist rest, multimedia controls are a plus too)

Get the Filco and a Griffin Powermate.

I'm trying to minimize my cost. I'd rather not spend $30 on something like that. Isn't there a software that allows remapping or some kind of software macro?

Yeah there is, autohotkey allows you to map keys to different functions.

I've never owned a Filco, but they are well regarded and I personally think side-printed keycaps are awesome.

I bought bunch of colored key caps (ie. wsad, arrows, alt, ctrl, shift) from elitekeyboards because I wanted some color. They should fit without problem, right?

Yeah, they'll fit fine. You can also get keycaps on Taobao, WASD, qtan's store, and geekhack classified/group buys.
