SLI help.

This has got me stumped.

To let you know ive tried 3 different drivers on Windows 7 64 bit.

270.61
280.26
285.38

An they all do the same thing, once installed and restarted my computer, i go into nvidia control panel and enable SLI, once the screen goes black as the devices are set, it comes back and there seems to be no trace of nvidia drivers on my system. the resolution as gone back to 800 * 600 and nvidia control has disappeared. Vanished.

Ive tried re installing windows. no good. same thing happens

Ive tried driver sweeper, yet there seems to be no nvidia drivers any way.

Any other ideas OCN?

Computer in SIG.

Hey I am hoping and praying that you don't turn out with the same error as me. I found out that the cards I were running had different internal memory causing crashes everytime enabled. Make sure the cards have the same exact memory or it will instantly crash when activated. Other solutions are to check the orientation your cards are setup in. You can see more info here:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-visi...uirements.html

P.S. Are you running more than one monitor by any chance?

You have the Sli bridge on?

I mean no offence, just a suggestion.

Yeah, cables can become bad. I would try another one and also reseat the cards too.

Make sure your pci-E cables are snug too.

I would try switching your primary and secondary cards as well according to their orientation in the pci slots

so let me clear this up. The same cards that are not working in sli right now have worked in SLI before?

I would try and see if you can find a trace of nvidia drivers in the device manager. If so then uninstall them from their. If that does not work, most graphics card company's have grate tech support tehy will probably know what to do. It might be a faulty card.

Try switching the cards place and make sure you SLI bridge is tight.

Ok, i still have no idea. I switched the cards around and changed the primary card, still getting the same problem. i replaced the SLI bridge, no change. the only thing i did do once was when the enabled SLI and when it reverted back to the low resolution and no nvidia control panel, i changed output on the graphics card, from primary to secondary and it was fine, normal resolution and nvidia control panel was there, so went in, enabled SLI, and then the screen went black, and then no display. At the moment, im in windows and if i try go into nvidia control panel it comes up with: " Nvidia display settings are not available" "You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU"

What is this, i really dont get it, working fine and then not working. Single card, they both run fine, but they just wont SLI.
