Best Z68 Motherboard from List (microcenter)

Thread Starter
So...I'm going for the $80 off mobo deal, when I buy a i7 2600k from microcenter. I'm looking at spending no more than about $150 retail before the $80 discount ...which of these do you recommend from microcenter?

I'm leaning toward the Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 right now.

PS: Here is the full list I can choice from: http://www.microcenter.com/search/se...04+4294933080&

Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3. It's the cheapest and it's features you would be aware of are about the same as the others.

The Gigabyte UD3H is a great board. Solid construction, great color scheme and no shortage of features. I used it for my dad's build and it took an i5-2500K to 4.4GHz with virtually no effort.

I concur with Xeb.

UD3H or P8Z68 V-Pro. Obviously the Pro is more money but you get what you pay for. Neither is a bad board per se.

I just dismantled my UD3H in favour of a Pro. Depends how high an overclock you want to go but be aware that in Gigabyte bios, you can't use LLC + offset at the same time. You can still overclock the snot out of it, but there is some wierdness to how Giga handles voltages. If you're after an every day 4.5-4.6, you'll be fine. I had mine *never quite stable like 1 crash a week at idle but passed 12hr P95* at 4.8.

Bottom line - from your list, it would be a fine choice.

You'll find many of my observations a few pages back in the 'Official Gigabyte 67/68' thread.

Excellent choice OR you can have MicroCenter to price-match the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4 to NewEgg's price ($189.99) and still get the $80 discount price since you'll be buying the 2600k
