I will be happy to announce this is not the case. As we are working with this sensor still in future mice (fingertip / palm) we are still persistently working to find the perfect balance. Fortunately all the mice utilizing the same sensor will be updated through firmware.

Give us time, we are new to the game but not to providing solutions.

I have faith you guys will. I've only been disappointed by a CM product once. My CM590 had side-panels that didn't line up at all and vibrated a TON when I had more than 1 hard drive in the case. It was madness and cause me to hate that case.

I get my Spawn tomorrow so it's going to be an interesting at work.

Weird, I use the Starcraft II Qck and its not pure black but my Spawn works just fine on it. Of course I don't spend majority of my time tinkering with mouse benchmarks to get my results as I just play games like BF3 and osu! to test my mouse. I previously had a G9x and it had horrible lift off (jittering/fixed with tape) with the same mouse pad but thats the same with people saying "oh you're suppose to use hard pad or hard pad is best for that sensor". After I swapped for the spawn I'm currently using 30a firmware and tracks very well on both the Qck and the hardpad so I guess experiences with everyone will not always be the same. I barely have to lift mine that high for it to cut off tracking compared to my G9x which jittered every time I slightly lifted it, at least with the storm spawn you can swap out firmware to whatever works with your setup so each one will have their own opinion about the mouse.

I recently bought a Spawn and decided to return it. The drivers do not support changing sensitivity, which is horrible and makes the mouse useless to me. 1800 dpi is too slow for me, and 3500 way too fast. There also is no option to seperately adjust X and Y axis sensitivity.

Good mouse, horrible drivers.

I would invest into an ADNS-9500 laser mouse if you want those features.

Optical sensors are designed to work natively at pre-coded values. In the spawns case, the 3090 operates at 800/1800/3500 via 1.0x lens. Interpolation down or up via MCU isn't really the best option in terms of overall IPS performance and tracking quality.

Do you really use that? I haven't known anybody who adjusts X and Y axis sens separately...

i wish i would have researched the mouse more. 800/1800/3500 just seems too limited as i like to play at different settings all the time.

luckily, i got the mouse for really cheap.

guess i'll go back to my G9x. or get used to it lol

There's a reason why this mouse is on sale for 30 bucks nib.

keep the mouse at its native sensor dpi ( 1800) and adjust in-game mouse sensitivity instead ? http://www.users.on.net/~frankros/DPI-calc.php it's not rocket science ....

It seems there are still the same issues appearing in the xornet and for some even worst. Look at that thread.
