Try this:

Do you by any chance using 11.10 preview drivers? If so, set the UAC in contol panel to off.

• Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > change User Account Control Settings > move the slider to rock bottom > restart PC.

• Also set the pagefile to "System Managed".

• Uninstall Catalyst then clean it with this:

Atiman Uninstaller v.6.0.0.msi. Download LINK (Run it with administrator privilege. Some antivirus software will give a false positive. Let it restarts to complete the uninstallation).

• Then follow with this:

How to remove phantom - hidden cards from system.

1 Right-click My Computer and select Properties.
2 Click on the Advanced tab.
3 Click on Environment Variables.
4 Below the bottom Environment Variables window panel (System Variables), click on New
5 For Variable Name, enter devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices
6 For Variable Value, enter 1
7 Click OK to close Environment Variables and OK again to close System Properties

Open Device Manager, click on View and then select Show hidden devices from the menu.
You can identify the hidden devices by their grayed-out icons.

Go to the Display adapters and show your old cards.
Right-click the selected card and choose "Uninstall" driver on every one.

Restart and ok.

• Install Catalyst.

The above will take care of graphics/memory related issue and this will fix BF3 DX11.

•Right click on Battlefield 3 in Origin and click “Repair Install”.

•Navigate to your Battlefield 3 folder, then into “__Installer\directx\redist” and run DXSETUP.exe.

Give it a try. Let's know how it goes.

Recommended system requirements clearly state for 1024mb vram. You have 2 cards with 2GB each, so windows increases your Shared System Memory significantly. I had exactly the same error, i can replicate it with 2-4GB of page file. But thats ok, ive given you the answer, ignore it as you wish.

Perhaps at least try increase your page file and see what improvement you get before you reply again.

Also open up Resource Monitor, watch your commit charge and it will hit 100%.

Did a fresh install of Origin and I stopped having this problem. Who could have guessed? Now it runs just fine.
