My Custom PC (4 years) - Thoughts/Feedback

I basically do a full upgrade every 4 years..this is what I have so far I got this:

Mouse: Logitech G400 ($35)

Mouse Pad: SteelSeries QcK+ ($15)

Soundcard: Plan to use my current Creative XtremeGamer (was thinking about X-Fi Titanium HD..don't think it's worth the upgrade)

Speakers: Klipsch Pro-Media 2.1 ($150) or Corsair SP2500 ($220)

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 ($70, $80 off microcenter deal)

Graphic Card: ZOTAC AMP! GTX 570 ($240, microcenter 20% coupon + rebate)..kinda want to SLI..maybe wait when prices drop.. the card is currently $345 now...what you think?

CPU: Intel i7 2600K ($280, was going to get 2500k..but this is a bundle deal with the mobo to get $80 off)

Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB ($55)

PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 750W ($55, microcenter 20% coupon + rebate)

SSD: Crucial m4 256gb ($365, was planning on 128gb...but i feel like that would basically fill up with os/games...I know people use 64gb for os and hdd for games...but i like fast load times...and I don't want to worry about space...so 256gb seems safe to me)

HDD: Will use current ones..i got 250gb/500gb/75gb 10k raptor...for backup

Heatsink: Haven't decided...maybe Hyper 212 Evo+ or Corsair A70

Thermal Paste: Haven't decided

Case: Probably will use my current one...Antec 1200...still seems top of class no?

DVD: Use current one

Keyboard: Use current one

PC Chair: lol..i want a new one..but will think about it later.

Thoughts?

BTW - I currently have a Q6600..u think i should get the i7 2600k or wait for Ivy?

Stick with the i7, specially since you're getting a fantastic deal on it.

The only reason you benefit from the i5 is that you have more money to spend on a better graphics card.

Everything else looks spot on. Nice build

Klipsch Pro-Media 2.1 are discontinued if I remember correctly. So you might wanna get something else unless you can find one that's a reasonable price. They were about 120 the last time I saw them.

The Antec 1200 is a little dated.

yes it is...but i really don't see any other case that is much better tbh. i mean it's not like a new technology...so there isn't much innovation. if you can recommend me a case for about $150 or less that you think is better...do tell. Thanks.

You should probably wait until SB-E or Ivybridge if you're not wanting to upgrade for another 4 years.

SB-E will be expensive no? $300+..and i heard it's not much different (and i probably won't get that $80 off deal from microcenter with it).

I could wait for Ivy...but i really want this system up and running soon...i worry about more delays...i can't wait more than 5 months or so.

Last I heard Ivy was scheduled for the last quarter of 2011.
