Weird temps for a GTX 570?

Thread Starter
I got an ASUS GTX 570 DirectCU II a few weeks ago. In BF3 I had been getting temps around 55-60C. Last night I noticed my temps were 46C. Today I noticed in afterburner my temps jumped from 47-57 and back to 46. It wasn't a gradual climb in temps they jumped. I closed AB and decided to try EVAG precision as I thought maybe AB was just showing incorrect temps but I'm getting the same temps with precision. GPU usage in BF3 stays around 98-99% it just seems like 46C is lower than it should be. Card is OCd to 805 core clock @ stock volts atm.

I ran through the Unigine heaven bench and KOmbustor openGL and wavy plane test also and there was np. Am I just being paranoid thinking the temps should be higher? Ambient room temp is 21-22C and the cards idle temp is 28C. Any other info I need to provide or test I can do to make sure everything is ok?

EDIT: I also tried playing FFXIV to compare temps and they were around 46C there also. Usually they are mid 50s-61C in FFXIV.

It's a DC model, the temps should be lower than units with a single fan and shroud (see EVGA). My Twin Frozr II has similar temps and I'm loving it!

My point is since I got it temps in FFXIV were 55-61C, in BF3 beta 60-61C and up til last night in BF3 55-61C. It seems strange that all of a sudden they are9+C cooler.Thats why I was asking if there could be some issue I'm not aware of. That is my point, not that I have low gpu temps.

Ambient temp change? A few degrees can make the cooler work much more efficiently even though you might not notice it.
