So I need help I'll describe what happened.

Okay so plenty of hard drives have died in my comp. The motherboard has always seemed a bit off and has had odd issues but nothing very prevelent.

So I was playing a game. Got a BSOD. I was on about ~20% cpu OC and has been stable for weeks.

Turn the comp back on. It freezes. While windows is up it freezes, then I hear the hard drives start up o.O Now everything is incredibley slow, random things take forever, somethings won't even start. I remember this is kind of what it was like before when i was running on a dying hard drive. Also these 2 hardrdives I'm using are new replacements.

Could the motherboard really be killing these hard drives? Windows just F'd up somehow? I'm also done with OC'ing. have I just had horrible luck with Seagate?

definitely sounds like a bad hard drive to me. Not sure if a motherboard could really be killing drives like that, though..

I've never experienced it but maybe the OC instability has been creating drive errors........I've only ever heard of it but it is a possibility. Aside from that maybe a bad SATA/IDE port is killing drives. Seems very fishy and if you even have an inkling that something like this is the problem I say without a doubt swap out that mobo.

I wonder if seagate is going to replace these yet again. Just did 2 free advanced replacements due to how many times those things have been replaced..

I'm thinking I want to run t hat computer over with my car, smash it with a hammar and put it in a fire I'm so sick of it. I want to buy the $40 used mobo from the ocn market. However EVERY used PC part I've bought has had some kind of issue. Really don't have money to spend $300 to get new core components.

I agree sounds like a bad hard drives to me also. I did a new build back in April and couldn't get my system to boot. Had a bad SSD drive that was brand new too.
