i thought it might have to be sitting like on bottom of case like how this pump is sitting

I've oriented pumps in all manners and I've never noticed a significant drop in performance or reliability. Even if there was a difference in performance I'd bet its minimal and not worth worrying about.

thanks also is my loop order the best it can be
post #5 of 8
As long as its Res>pump its good. The water in the loop temp equalizes so the rest of the loop order doesn't really matter.

Res>pump means that the pump draws water directly from the resrvoir and then pumps it to all the other components (radiators, blocks)

The reason people say the order does not matter is that the temperature of the fluid in the system eventually reaches an equlibrium.
Yea, the Reservoir's outlet need to go to the pump's inlet. That way the pump is always pulling water from the Reservoir.

Since water is flowing through the loop so quickly, it doesn't sit in any one water block long enough to get heat in a spiked manner. All the water in the loop slowly gains temperature together till it reaches an equilibrium. So even if you did pump > cpu block > gpu block > radiator > reservoir it would be no different than pump > radiator > cpu block > gpu block > reservoir.
