I've bought a sabertooth 990fx that I was going to use when I bought a fx but now thinking I will get a 980be instead.
Ya in the beginning I was going to get an fx but after reading some reviews, I decided to go with the 970 because it seemed like the right way to go. I think I will probably used the extra money to buy a 6850 maybe. I'm really leaning towards the Sabertooth and I'll look into to some deals.

I was also looking at a refurbished Crosshair IV motherboard. Any opinions on that one?

CHIV is a good board. Comes with extras like Rog connect. Sabertooth 990FX would overclock just as well and what particularly interested me about it was the thermal sensors around the board.

i have the asrock 990fx pro fatal1ty. I LOVE IT. I believe u can cop it for $169 or so on the egg now... I have NO complaints what soever. had a asus mobo for my cpu before and i burnt it up. This one can take extreme overclocking imo and has great features!

Alright, so after looking on ebay for a few days, i found a good Crosshair IV motherboard and got a great deal on it for $140 manufacture refurbished with 2 year warranty. Did i make the right decision?

Seems like a good deal. I think they are normally around $210.

The CHIV is a great AM3 mobo. One of the best. Does it come with all the usual accessories.

Ok so here are the details, the motherboard was manufacture refurbished but it was refurbished at the owners request, meaning the one the owner had, had a problem. So, he sent ianti asus and got another one sent back refurbished from asus. So that's why its still covered by warranty, because it's basically purchased brand new. The accessories are all included and original.
