game downloads stop midway

Thread Starter
Why is it that every time I let a steam or origin game download overnight I wake up disappointed with the game randomly paused with 10% done?

Is your computer set to sleep after X amount of minutes?

Or if its a laptop set to sleep when you close the lid?

Make sure nothing is making your internet disabled after being AFK.

Check your power options in the control panel. Make sure your hard drives are not being put to sleep or your whole computer.

I have a feeling it's something powering down the computer to a low energy state (ex. Sleep) after X amount of minutes. Goto Control Panel -> System and Security -> Power Options -> Edit Plan Settings -> Change Advanced Power Settings then look at the settings to see if any cause your computer to go into sleep or cause your internet to stop after awhile.
