MSI mb = ~$120
gtx 590 ~$650
cpu cooler ~$70
corsair ax750 ~$225
fans ~ $70
i7 2600K ~ $250
random bull**** $100

total= (appox.) $1415

I would go to microcenter if you have one around you. They are fairly cheap and very helpful.
i7 for $250? sign me up.

If you are buying it for christmas, Wait for SB-E hardware to come out. The cost around christmas time should hopefully go down a bit. Stuff usually does around the holidays.

Correct me if im wrong, but SB-E are estimated to be somewhat expensive ($500 for the lowest one), and show no real improvement for gaming over the current gen SB's.

Here is a great build:

With a system this powerful you'll be able to play bf3 with settings cranked up. Enjoy.
