Help choosing an AM3 Motherboard

Thread Starter
Hey everyone, I am now looking for a new motherboard after mine pooped out on me after a year and half. I'm now in need of a new one and have no idea where to start.

I'm hoping I can get some good suggestions from people here so here is my criteria:

- I need an AM3 to be compatible with my 965 BE CPU
- I would like it to be under $150 (thats flexible though)
- I need it to last

Just some more information to help people. I currently have a 750w Corsair PSU, 4GBs of G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 RAM, and will most likely never SLI/Crossfire but my future GPU is probably going to be a GTX460. I don't overclock stuff either. I will also being moving my system to a smaller case in the near future because my case is much to big.

On another note, how long should motherboards last? 1.5 years seems like a short life span. Also, I noticed that my motherboard had a 4-pin power connector at the top by the CPU. Is that not as good as an 8-pin?

Well, thanks for your help and if you need more information just ask.

I guess I should have mentioned this, but I will not be buying a used motherboard. I do not feel comfortable doing that.

These are good motherboards.

And OP, your question about 4 pin and 8 pin,
8 pin is considered better when overclocking.
