Pentium Dual Core High Temperature

Thread Starter
I have Intel Pentium Dual Core E6700 3.2Ghz with Arctic Cooling Alpine 11GT Rev2 cooler.

I believe my idle temperature is too high - most of the time it sits around 45. But sometimes it's even around 50C.

I ran ORTHOS stress test, and it took only around 3 min to reach 95C.

Any idea what could be wrong confused.gif

EDIT: Well, all it took was removing and replacing the heatsink and temps are way better.

That coolers is really crappy. First buy Hyper 212 +/EVO and MX-4.

If you already have TIM use that to reseat your current cooler.

Well I know it isn't good, but still shouldn't it be at least a little lower ?

Also, I believe I had similar idle temperatures with stock intel cooler.
