I personally don't like headsets that small for long time use. But I would trust Sennheiser products because I use them alot and they are good quality for sure.

Get some AD700s or A700s and a clip on mic, my carcharias have been in my dresser for a year now. They sound and feel horrible compared to my A700s.

Ha, because they are cheap.
That was my budget at the time I bought them.
While I'm sure there are much better headsets.
I am happy with them. Here they are on my desk.

The A700's are around $122. He said has be to under $100. Also, the AD700's are $100 and he would most likely have to buy a clip-on mic which could be also more money for him to spend.

The A700s and AD700s can be found for under $100, usually. They were on amazon for $75 a few months ago, but I guess the price is just inflated right now

Yeah I checked Amazon and Newegg and prices were the same for each website.

That headset is very dull sounding, doesn't get loud at all. I went with the Logitech G35 when it was on sale for $80 at best buy a few months ago.

If you like full size (Circumaural) I'd check out Koss SB45 or the SB49's. They sound better than most high end gaming headsets I have tried, cost less, and are the most comfortable out of all of them by far. They even come with a lifetime warranty that is hassle free. (I had to use it once, but haven't had a problem with the new set they sent me and I've had them for 3+ years).

I personally have the 45's as I don't like in-line volume control. The Mic is decent as well, as long as you don't put it in your mouth like some folks tend to do with such mic's. A few inches away and slightly below your mouth seems best.
