Yeah man I said that earlier and some one reported it so I said it again. I don't know why anyone pointed that out yet also the guy who did it "Andre Yang" is banned forever for cheating and disbursing winning overclocks to be used again by others.

You can't take cpu power draw from the wall meter because you don't account for the PSU inefficiencies.

For clarification since most aren't familiar. Overall frequency record attempts are nearly always set with cores disabled...aside from single core cpu's obviously. It's no big deal, and is in fact, standard procedure. I doubt you will ever see an overall frequency record fall to a cpu with more than 2 cores active until SMT/CMT design reaches more than 2 int. cores per cluster. And maybe not even then.

Also, AndrewYang was banned from FutureMark for life, not HWBot. He only received a one year ban from the Bot. I assume it was the same from FM (they were all banned from HWBot for the same 1 year penalty) for Hiwa, eXtremetweaker.de, KJ and Skinnee. Personally, I think Vapor should've been penalized as well...being that he was aware of the situation and didn't say anything. Not as harshly as the rest ofc, but apparently not many remember his role in the scandal.

True, but then again I can think of several things that I'd *love* to have a 7+ GHz dual-core for. Maybe by the time 10nm shows up, an 8+ GHz on air OC will be common, without having to disable any cores, and with cores disabled 10 GHz+. That'd be so sweet.
