Most psu calculators are way off. They usually tell you to get a psu thats way too much for your build. Until I got my kill-a-watt meter I too believed them, but now I see theyre highly inaccurate because now I have a way of measuring actual power draw.

You have to take most of them with a grain of salt unfortunately.

I don't, but if people can make blanket PSU statements about entirely different models based on their singular experience with a PSU they have owned as facts, I think even the newegg reviews hold more weight. And don't knock the egg reviewers only 90% of them are tards so be nice

You misunderstood. A persons experience will change THEIR opinion about a product and their opinion only.

However Newegg reviews you have to take with a grain of salt because a lot of reviews on there are by people that dont know very much.
Just like the guy that gave the HDT S1283 one egg because after HE cut the top off of it it didnt perform well.

Hey man they should've put a warning that cutting the top might decrease performance..........or like the people who review stuff and give it 3eggs because it isnt better than something that is usually twice the price...........

I'm using 630W as a preparation for more powerful CPU + GPU. I've also used Rosewill Green 430W before installed it to my mom's HTPC. That one is also a great unit.

You do realize that Rosewill did not make those PSU, OEM does right? Same as XFX which is a rebrand of Seasonic. Corsair also does not make their own PSU.

Rosewill Green is a rebrand of ATNG. Rosewill HIVE is a rebrand of Sirtec. Rosewill Lighting is a rebrand of Superflower. All of which are excellent OEM for PSU.

Not necessarily. There isn't a single requirement filtering out anyone who has never used, owned, seen, or even touched any product sold on their entire website from leaving a rating or feedback. Their star rating is incredibly inaccurate because of this. People will grade a product 1 star simply because they own a competing product and want to bash another, but have zero experience with the product they're rating.

people on newegg give known crappers like the CM eXtreme great reviews because the computer turns on. they give products bad reviews because they didn't get the rebate check. people on there rate their tech expertise high while making galring errors in ther little post such as saying they previously owned a Sapphire GTX 460.

btw Obsidian, i didn't say OCZ didn't have high end PSU's...i said that they were not great for high end builds, and most of them aren't. i've seen a 750W OCZ pop and spit out sparks a minute into 3Dmark when a second gtx 470 was added to a PC.
