Have you tried your card on a Mobo that supports SLI?
I mean, I realize you shouldn't need an SLI mobo, but your (sigged) claim about having been 'lied to' by nVidia doesn't really stand up to scrutiny unless the card you have works on an SLI board, but doesn't on yours.
Personally I'd be highly surprised if the mobo being non-SLI has ANYthing to do with the issue, because the card itself has all the components necessary to SLI the two gpu's already built onto it.
Lastly, it's not nVidia making that claim, as that model is not officially supported by nVidia ... and as such, you will not find mention of it anywhere on nV's website.
That card is a custom design by evga, much like the Mars line by Asus. So ... if you want to complain about being lied to, at least point the finger in the proper direction
