In the market for an SSD, this will be my first one and I am looking for a 120GB one. Ive narrowed it down to 3 options from what i read there the best ones out there.

Which one would be better, and why? Intel has a nice warranty and extremely reliable, M4's heard nothing but good things, and the new Samsung 830's are brand new and faster than the other 2 choices and they come with Batman AC free

The Crucial M4 and Intel 320 are the same price at $205 for the 120GB one, while the new samsung 830 is at $225.

If the Samsung is faster than the M4, it won't be by very much.

I'm taking the M4 as you will be able to find it cheaper than $205 and it's proven whereas the Sammy drive is not.

I voted for the M4 because I love mine and it's proven.
Then I looked at the new Samsung SSD's and those things look BEASTLY.

If you want to get an SSD now, go for the M4. If you want to wait and see tests first though, then that Samsung SSD might kick some butt.

Samsung SSDs have an incredible reliability reputation, almost Intel-tier for that matter; as for actually proving that in real use, of course that hasn't happened yet, the drive has only been on the market about a week.

Performance-wise, it's sort of a supercharged M4+0009, much greater sequential speeds, and (depending on whose test it is) higher IOPS and random read performance.

c0ld; based on the balance of price, performance, and features, I'd get the 830 (in fact I hope to myself for Christmas), though if you aren't factoring features into it, the M4 has been the go-to drive for the past month or so. Supposedly, the OCZ Octane is coming out sometime in the next week with a new Indilinx controller and a very impressive proposed cost-per-GB, so if you can wait, see how that gets on.

Thank you for the input, I appreciate it

Sure does look like it plus there is a free game $50 value. So should I wait for the Octane or pull the trigger on the 830? Dont know how long the free game off will last on the 830's.
