I had just done a recent wipe because of a virus I had.

Win32/SafeEHHeur.gen

I did a clean install because of this. After some research it looks like this pops up with MSE and it can pop up because of multiple reasons. Some research shows Nvidia drivers, Crysis, etc. Maybe a false positive find but I did a clean install none the less.

After closing the Razer Mamba system tray my CPU usage drops back down to 0-1%. Interesting. Time to email the ****ty support from Razer and find out what the hell is up.

I'm not on my sig rig atm, at work so I am unable to check. Also it's at home folding so everything is at 100% usage

I have this same problem with my mamba software. I did some research and it looks to be just about everybody with the new software, and I have seen nothing from razer about issue.

I do have to say I love the new software in the aspect that it is extremely fast at changing settings compared to the old software.
I hope razer will fix this. It is bull that they actually released a piece of software that just sits there at idle and eats CPU power. Mine eats an entire cores worth of power. So I sit at 25% while idling.

Did you get a response to your email at all as I am having exactly the same issue. CPU sits at 20% usage until the Razer Mamba software is closed.

Just a heads up that Razer have released a new 2.01 driver as of the 6th December which fixes the CPU utilization issue.

I just Googled the issue since I was looking at performance with my new build. Found the CPU being tacked at 25%, found new drivers...fixed issue.
