Some games need better internet connections then others.

I know BF3 needs a better internet connection then BFBC@, however what games need the same or less internet connection quality wise compared to bfbc2? I am using verizon 4g now, cause we cant get high speed where we live, and bf3 is very rubber bandy/laggy with it, however bfbc2 it was perfect.

Honestly I played every game I have ( around 75 on Steam alone) on a 256mb connection til about 2 months ago and it was fine. I just upgraded to a 2 MEG connection then for faster downloads. The rubberbanding in BF3 has nothing to do with your speed.

fixed that for you.

I'm running on a 1.5mb connection here. Connection bandwidth doesnt matter as much as latency for games. the lag is not from your connection. everyone is getting lag in BF3. give it some time and EA/Dice will smooth it out

Your connection speed means nothing if your ping is horrible because that is the real important part. I had a 128kb Wireless connection in northern Michigan and i played everything from RISK to FEAR and never lagged unless something else tried to use the internet.

Your BF3 lag is on EA's end.

BF3 was a Huge release. EA/Dice were not prepared for the demand that it recieved, so it could take a little while. i'd give it another week as the demand will start to level out
