Will this rad be enough?

Thread Starter
So i was wondering will this RAD be enough for

i5 2500k @ 4.5 Ghz 1.3V and a GTX 560 ti 900/2200 1.1V?

I am getting a loop just for the CPU with this rad for now but i just wanted to know for the future...

It is, but I would recommend getting good higher rpm fans that could be slowed down. Slow for web browsing, faster for summer gaming.
Gentle Typhoons get rave reviews, but I have yet to ever find them in stock.

With your case you might be able to install a second rad at the bottom.

are u sure u want to watercool a 560? why not get a 580 and water cool it, yes i know its more money, but it will be easier to resell with a water block, and a 560 u wont get as much extra performance out of, its like, the blocks are the same price no matter, so why waste the water block money on a 560?

Y, will be getting a good and fast pump with a high flow and pressure...and i was thinking about a second rad in the bottom and i think i can fit a 280mm one there...
Ijust dont have the $$$ for all of that right now...

And btw i had 3 Gentle Typhoons(remember to get the 1450 r/min not the slower ones) in the previous case and they r monsters!!! just remember to put spacings if u mount them on the rad cause it a lot more efficient and quiet at high rpm-s.

thrgk brings up a good point. However, Switftech (and probably others) do make "universal " blocks that can be used with ramsinks and supposedly will be useable going forward. I have used block coolers/ran sinks in the past - worked just fine, but I had air blowing over them.
This time around I bought the best card available (as of 4/2010) and wc'ed it.

You can find the gentle typhoons on frozencpu.com for a reasonable price in stock. At least the 1850RPM version. Future proofing you may want to go with an extra rad if you can.
