You could still call them and explain the situation to them. Maybe they'll still RMA it? Corsair does have REALLY good customer service, so they might. It wouldn't hurt to spend a few minutes on the phone to find out. wink.gif

RMA your board too though (from wherever you bought it), just to be sure. Might as well since you'll be waiting for a PSU anyway.

I have the same board and I had to RMA my first along with the 2500k to be sure. The second works fine it just has really annoying buzzing in the headphones if you use onboard audio.

Thread Starter
The problem I have with RMA is that I bought the board used from ebay. I have the reciept so should be able to RMA it fine, but I live in the UK so the RMA system is different. Apparently I have to send it back to the retailer (i think it was novatech) who then send it to Asus, who send a new board to the retailer, who send it to me.

I'll contact the ebay seller first I think, as well as Corsair.

EDIT: I've just tried the 'paperclip' test as detailed http://www.corsair.com/support/technicalsupport/ (although I think that link requires some form data so may not work for anyone else), and the PSU fan spins for about half a second before stopping, so I guess this means the PSU is dead.

EDIT 2: Does anyone have a tech support email for corsair in the UK? I always seem to end up in the RMA page when I try to find an email address for them. I've sent an email to RMAService@corsairmemory.com but not sure if this is correct or not.

EDIT: See OP for resolution
