EVGA 560 Ti 2gb worth it?

Thread Starter
I have the opportunity to pick up a EVGA 560 Ti 2GB for around $225 locally. Now Im looking for two cards to replace my X2. Im looking at either two 560 Tis or two 6950s. I will mainly be playing BF3 at 1080p and would like to crank the settings up. Is the 560 Ti with 2GBs worth it? Is the 560 able to actually benefit from the larger frame buffer? Also at 1080p does the 560Ti SLI hold its own against the 6950 Crossfire in BF3 at 1080p with high settings?

So any proof or reviews? I didnt have very much luck finding reviews on the 2GB models.

2gb of vram heck yeah. Need all the vram you can get for BF3

but pretty sure the 6950 in Xfire will beat sli 560ti

I would get the 6950s but at this price a 560 Ti 2GB is hard to pass up.

been wondering this myself! wish we knew when the new 560 ti is out and if it'll have 2.5 gigs.

can someone tell a n00b like myself if the new 560 with more cuda would be better than the 560 with 2gb for games like SKYRIM? that is, if the new 560 only has 1.5 gb to go with that extra cuda... i feel like the 2gb is becoming much more useful these days

yea, BF3 eats up to 1.5 GB vram on Caspian Border 64 player,
Rage eats up 2.1 GB Vram using 16k texture config...

1GB vram is the new middle and low end Vram amount.
