TeamViewer file transfers are slow

Thread Starter
Hello all, I have installed teamviewer, but if i try to transfer files it goes really slow. Its not my or the other person's connection, since for the first 2 seconds or so it goes at about 15Mb/s, but then slows down to 160KB/s, and keeps going back and forth between that and 320KB/s - feels kinda like there is a speed limit. How can i make it max out the connection, or go at least at the 15mb/s i was getting? any help? thanks in advance.

I think that is it really, i've never had faster transfers than that and I have more bandwidth left.

Hmm well why would it limit them? That doesn't make any sense.. And if it did, wouldn't there be an option to change the limit?

That 15Mb/s is probably just a glitch unless the computer you're downloading from has 15Mb/s up.

320Kb/s for a file transfer isn't that bad.

the app will max our your line speed... also the person you down loading it from, what is his max upload speed?

or if you are uploading it to the person, what is your max upload speed?

then if that is fine, what type of hard drive are they useing and is it saveing too?

all those things need to be taken into consideration.

I transfer at about the same rate - maybe even a little bit less sometimes.

The dialogue is pretty screwy though - there were points when it was telling me that I was transferring at 15 EB/s tongue.gif

I've had the same experience as this ^

If you'd like, I can recommend other programs that transfer files faster.
In my experience Teamviewer is great for remote controlling computers, but not for file transfer.
