Codename black beauty.. (build pics)

I guess I shall post up pics and specs of the computer so far. I'd like to post this on the evga rigs page but I'm still trying to figure out how to do all the benchmarks they want to get posted on there. Anyways here are some juicy details and pics:

FINALLY received my RP-1200 koolance pump. It was certainly a pain in the arse to burp. Mostly due to where I've installed it and the fact I have a radiator at the highest point in the system, but this pump is very quiet. All I hear is a hardly unnoticeable hum. I don't even hear the fans at all whatsoever....and yes I did install a radiator OUTSIDE the case bolted to the top removable plate. I think it looks and functions quite well considering the "hidden" fans blowing on it. Made use of the grommets on the back of the case quite well.

Video OC:

cpu core: 991mhz
shader: 1982mhz
memory: 2229mhz.
voltage: 1.15v
Steady 35-45c temps!

CPU: 4729mhz

Memory is just below the 2100mhz range.

Hard drive bench marks: http://ipmcomputers.com/2011/09/gami...-intel/?ref=nf

Pictures:

http://ipmcomputers.com/images/custom_computers/5500/

I went with the smallest cooling tubing mainly because I don't think the performance gains are worth the cost in materials and space in the case for what this computer is built to do. It's not a benchmarking computer even though I am doing that to show the specs.

Highest temps I have seen on this entire computer have been 55c at max loads so far in a room at 78deg temp.

Final parts list:

Motherboard: Asus Maximus IV B3 REPUBLIC OF GAMERS SERIES
CPU: Intel i7 2.4GHz 2600k overclocked to 4.8GHz STABLE
Memory: 16GB DDR3 AData 2100MHz
Hard Drives:
2 SSD MaxIOPS 120GB in RAID0 benchmarked at 1,200MB/sec read/write speed with a total of 240GB storage for OS.
2 Western Digital Black 1TB in RAID1 with a total of 1TB storage for DATA.
Video: 2 EVGA GTX580 in SLI overclocked
Power Supply: OCZ 1000watt gold standard
LG DVD Burner
Case: Coolermaster HAF-X
Liquid cooling: Koolance CPU block, Koolance memory blocks, EK video card blocks, EK dual 120 radiator, Koolance single 140 radiator, phobia 200 single radiator on top of case, koolance RP-1200 pump/res combo (just came out).

I believe this machine is complete as far as I'm concerned.

Just the 9mm tubing. Thanks!

I really don't see why anyone needs anything more than this to cool their rigs. These guys saying they have 1+ gal of water in their system just seems like a waste of money to me. Purely just for show is the only reason I can see to do something like that.

having that rad on top of the case getting warm air from the other rad will lose ou some of the effect, you'd probably been better putting a 360 in the top of the haf

Agreed, or do a rear mount of the 200.

The top radiator is the final stop just before the res/pump. The 200 doesn't fit "nicely" on the back.

The difference in the "effect" has to be very minimal. Even with me bench marking the hell out of this machine, or playing 4 eve online clients + duke nukem + cs:s in the background all running, this radiator gets maybe slightly warm to the touch.

I do wish I could have fit one of those frozen double helix res's between the video cards and the top radiator though to give it a bit of buffer. Or at least between the top radiator and the res/pump combo.

your also right you could have fit a 360 in there. I also plan on having dual blue ray burners in this thing, so that wouldn't have worked out for me in the end.

Either way this thing runs perfectly stable. I've had it on for about a week straight now.

Completely dependent on the speed of the coolant. If it is moving fast enough then you do not care very much as the final temp is less than half a degree even in a non optimal scenario as the temps pretty much reach equilibrium. If it is moving slowly then the proper way to approach stacking radiators is to put the "Hot" one at the exhaust side of the assembly.

Like I've done

but good read on the thread posted above. I keep my pump running on 8 or higher.
