285.62 Drivers Freeze, Artifacts or Lockup During Win 7 Boot?

So I am having some trouble with my EVGA GTX460SC. I installed the latest drivers few days ago and everything was running great, I even noticed a FPS increase in Mafia 2. Anyhow so yesterday my PC started to freeze during Windows 7 Bootup, the Starting Windows Logo.

I went into safe mode and uninstalled the drivers and ran Driver Sweeper (3.2), then I was able to boot into windows. Then I performed a Clean Installation and as soon as I restarted I saw artifacts all over my screen. And the thing would still freeze in the Starting Windows Screen. I replaced the card with another card and I was able to log into windows just fine. No Artifacts, No freeze or lockups. I reset my Motherboard's Bios and re installed the GTX460 SC and this time there was no artifacts but the screen froze in Loading Windows. But I am able to go into safe mode and do things without any problems. I thought it might be a driver issue so I uninstalled the drivers again and installed Older 266 Drivers. But the card still freezes during windows 7 boot.

What am I missing here? I mean is it a bad card or something wrong with the cards bios or something else? What should I do?

OMG somebody looked at this? - http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?s...ic=187401&st=0

There seems to be a whole lockup club of people with the same issues as me

I had the Firefox TDRs ever since FF 7 and Nvidia 280.26 came out in August. It was maddening because it never happened while gaming, just while browsing the internet (and usually while typing something in a Google search box). It occurred with both a GTX 460 and GTX 560. I began getting a black screen and the usual "Nvidia driver (whatever the .dll name is) has become unresponsive, blah blah". Sometimes it would recover, other times the screen would stay black and need a hard reboot. It happened ten times in three days starting last Saturday until earlier this week a guy posted in the EVGA forums that Firefox might be the cause. Sure enough, I've been using Opera for three days now with nary a BSOD or TDR error. Win 7, Nvidia 28X.XX drivers and Firefox 7 don't seem to play well together.

So far i've not had any problems but if I do I won't feel alone now

I was a bit miffed B3 forced me to install them as they're still beta and normally
I don't do beta. Hell I normally don't even do 1.0 as a long term apple user their first releases tend to be flawed.
