Anybody switch or upgrade from Sandy Bridge to Bulldozer? Thoughts?

Thread Starter
....Was wondering what peoples thoughts were when they transitioned from Sandy Bridge to Bulldozer and if they noticed any real world performance difference. ....If you do in what applications or games? I'm probably more interested in the gaming aspect, but if you notice improvements in say, video editing software, overall windows 7 performance, etc. I'd be interested in that too.

Yes i've seen the benchmarks, but I want real world performance perspective from end users on this forum who actually went from SB to BD. Thankyou.

It is by no means, an upgrade.

I don't see anybody doing that(upgrade from sb to bd). Though maybe some here have both and have used it for the same pupose to compare platforms.

I think the only people who bought the FX series...are the 29 in the FX forum club. For the price and power required, they just really aren't efficient processors. I hope AMD gets it together for a new release sometime within the next 6 months. I doubt that'll happen, but it'd be nice.

I changed word to 'transition' be more politically correct. I don't want to upset the obvious intel fan boys here, sheesh. However it can be considered an upgrade considering you have more cores with BD.

Regardless I'm not interested in people's opinions just because they read about the benchmarks, I'm interested in those that have bulldozer now, and use to have SB...

Basically I want real world performance differences.

Sorry, OP, i personally havent experienced BD real world performance, and i think mostly everyone who was waiting for BD, who then bought SB due to the delays, would've been waiting for the BD benches to decide when/if they would eventually go BD.

At this point, i doubt any of them did.

I don't see anyone in there right mind to change from sandy bridge to bulldozer since the results what I've seen from bulldozer it doesn't look too good..

@op. You'd probably have more luck if you posted this in the FX forum club any talk of BD except in that thread turns basically into this... which doesn't accomplish anything.
