i don't even....

please reread 1st post. i dont care about review sites benchmarks or desire to start some kind of bulldozer is better / intel is better dispute. i just want real accounts from real members who have owned both processors to comment on real world performance. i dont want to see the same old rehashed synthetic benchmarks that weve seen 100,000x, that really dont prove much, comprende pistolero?

if you dont own bulldozer or sandy you probably need to keep a low profile in this thread.

listen here buddy, the point is you WONT find ANYONE who has done this. The ONLY thing you will find is gaming FPS "benchmarks". Your ONLY hope is to find a BD owner and a SB owner who have similar systems and ask them to run similar games with a 2 minute FRAP benchmark or something like that. someone posted some nice pics earlier in this thread with the info you are looking for. OR at least it seems you are looking for. If you dont like it do whatever the hell pops into that brain of yours and live with the consequences...good or bad.

Www.overclock.intel sheesh. The fan boys make bulldozer to ocn like justin bieber is to youtube. Talked about in almost every thread and hated just the same. *new thread* my house just got bulldozed! The first reply would be omg did u see the benchmarks? Its just the same old thing over and over. I realize nobody will probably respond that has both 2600k and 8150 and say they prefer the fx cpu but I do see a lot of happy intel owners and a lot of happy fx owners. To each his own and I'm SURE there will be a price drop for bulldozer once the stock builds up(not wallstreet, talking number of units)

I'll say no. It's just ridiculous.
Sooooo... BD would just be the same as my CPU now. An expensive Space Heater Although, I'd venture a guess that my QX is faster Core-vs-Core.

You realize that is imposible right? I run as many as six VMs with load generating scripts on a CPU some times and you are not going to have 15-30 heavy tasks even from that. sure lots of small ones, but even if I don't turn on HT my quad will handle it OK.

Just once...just ONCE, I would like to see some one trying to defend a Bulldozer CPU that has some semblence of knowing what they are talking about. Every time they make a post they make Bulldozer and AMD look worse.

The trouble is...any one that truely understands CPU testing or CPU usage has nothing possitive to say about anything to do with Bulldozer based CPUs. I don't think it is really that bad...it just isn't an improvement over the last gen from AMD and AMD's marketing of it was over hyped and some of it are flat out lies.

You need to understand that anybody that has owned both processors will tell you that they got better performance from their Sandy Bridge. And please explain to me how benchmarks don't prove anything. A benchmark will prove A LOT more than how a processor FEELS to somebody.
What do you want people to tell you? There is not dispute that the Sandy Bridge is a better processor in ALMOST all applications that the Bulldozer.

Well if you want real accounts from someone who has owned sandy bridge and switched to bulldozer? They would probably tell you about how many times they facepalmed about their horrible decision. They will tell you how it is MUCH slower in virtually every application. And they may tell you 1 or 2 really random programs that Bulldozer actually excels in. They will also probably tell you how they can't game as well as even phenom II processors due to having such terrible IPC performance.

But if it was some person from a third world impoverished country who never used a computer before and they got on bulldozer they would tell you that it is fast and amazing!

Your question doesn't really make sense. Asking people for opinions about something that is very obvious which is superior isn't going to get much constructive results. It's not like these processors are comparable, bulldozer sucks compared to sandy bridge. I don't know what you have against benchmarks but they are the best representation of how computer hardware performs relative to one another. So if your brain can't comprehend benchmarks being valuable tools to answer your questions in a "scientific" manner, then I don't know what you expect to gain from peoples opinions.

TLDR: If your a grandma or someone who knows absolutely nothing about computers you would probably like bulldozer or not notice the difference between it and sandy bridge. But if your someone who knows ANYTHING about computers and uses mid-high end applications you would laugh at this question because its obvious how much better Sandy Bridge is.
