How are you attemping to turn on the pc?
If you are manually connecting the power pins with say a screw driver, remmember you only need them conected till your pc turn on, then remove the deviced used to cause the closed curcuit.

Also did you remmember to plug in the 12v and the 24 pin plug?

Any chance your stressing the mobo? try taking it off the Tray and boot it, place it on solid wood or the packaging the mobo cam in.
