my evga mobo won't boot all the way (bios) without a keyboard. might be the case with your mobo. before you do anything drastic - get a hold of the proper gear.

if your using Thumb screw on the mobo, there is a good possibility its shorting the mother board.

Is your RAM on the approved vendors list in your mobo manual? are you using the "mem ok' button as it is described in the manual? I had boot trouble with my sig rig and some "not on the list" RAM modules.Give ASUS a call perhaps they have heard of something going around.

Personally i think you be better off waiting till you have all the necessary parts to finish the build. Before jumping the gun and firing it up. I mean its different if you have to mickey mouse something to test it. You spent some good cash on that rig a little longer isn't going to kill you.
Patience is a virtue learned!

I just bet you will find someone at ASUS that will speak with you in Spanish, perhaps not your dialect but good enough, give it a try.I think you are doing the right thing trying to get it to boot outside a case,at least you know you did not cause the problem by putting the board in a case. One of the first things ASUS will have you do is pull that board out of the case and try a boot (after they verify your RAM is on the approved list).
