[Guru3d] Battlefield 3 VGA and CPU performance benchmark test - Page 4

I'm guessing that those guys were running the AMD cards on the 11.9 drivers with CAP3 *shivers*

Using 11.10 Preview 3 with CAP4
Set on auto, my dual 5870's give me 80-120FPS on most maps
Ultra is a little slow though.... will check tomorrow

All these SP benchmarks show that the CPU doesnt matter one bit, but in MP the story is completely different!

not only that, but guru3D didn't include the 6990 in their benchmark, so their graphs looks pretty bias imo.

^ The 6990 is included, usually right around a GTX 590/Crossfire 6970.

He did say all high settings.. some ultra. Review uses all Ultra.

Also keep in mind this benchmark is 2 minutes of gameplay in a particular level with a mix of walking around and action. Frame rates are going to be different on different levels with different amounts of action.

Compare that to Tom's Benchmark video and you can see why their Ultra results are so different.

Ive got Textures/terrain/mesh on Ultra, every other setting on High, 2xMSAA, AApost on Medium, 8x AF, 70 FOV. I get min. 25 avg. 33-39, max. 58 @ 1920*1080. I also have screenshots in fraps.

Game is just GPU limited at test resolutions more often than not, so in that case CPU efficiency doesn't really come to play.

Get 2/3 high-end GPUs and situation will likely change at the same resolutions.

The game runs much smoother without hyperthreading enabled , eliminates the jitter when you move from left to right .

I wouldnt of believed it until i tried it myself and it does feel alot smoother ..

The game runs awsome for me no problems at all .. 40-60FPS all ultra settings 2xAA .
