Rubber screws to reduce noise

Thread Starter
I recently got some screws with the rubber washers (not the grommet type) and currently I have them screwed directly onto the HDD and the HDD cage reduce noise. They have not completely wiped out the noise which I was expecting anyway but they sure have reduced it.

One thing concerning for me is that I have not put the screws on completely tight so that the rubber can absorb some of the vibration better. Is this bad to do? The screws are not so loose that they will fall out by any means but could vibration from the HDD over time eventually loosen them badly? Maybe is it better to do them up tight although there is more noise? (I've tried looser and tighter ways)

What is your opinion on this, should I change something?

Its possible but not likely yet if it worries you try some good old fashioned elbow grease (lightly) and maybe some thin foam that will flatten better than the rubber
