Also turn off C1E in bios in addition to CNQ.

Although, I leave both on in my overclock for power saving / overall processor life.

I'm not too sure about your board...but on my board, the mobo will throttle down the CPU before the MOSFETs catch fire. =cP
I had to turn around my rear exhaust to blow in air over the MOSFET heatsink since my CPU heatsink fans blow from bottom to top...so they weren't getting any air.
The throttling down thing is by design on these Evo boards i hear. So settle on a lower clock w/ less volts, get a fan to blow on your boards heatsinks...or get a new board i guess?

You could try one of these out

Hot MOSFETs !!
Thats a built-in ASUS protection for them.
Use a small fan to cool them down

in my overclock i have cool n quiet disabled and thermal throttling disabled and load line calibration. been this way for awhile now and no issues. I have my X4 840 overclocked over 4 ghz and its a beast (for me that is) $95 processor performing up to par against much more expensive cpu's. Its all about the h100 for cooling tho otherwise id be at 3.7
