550 Watts enough?

Thread Starter
Hello. I'm currently looking for a new Power Supply Unit, and I was wondering if 550W is enough.

I have a budget of 50-70€ so I can't really afford a top of the line PSU. I've been thinking if I should just go all out and buy a 650W PSU.

I'm also, currently between 2 products.

XFX 550W Core edition - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817207013

And Corsair CX500 V2 - http://www.corsair.com/power-supply-...er-supply.html

Which one should I buy? I'm currently leaning on the XFX one since it's 550W and I've heard good things about the brand.

I'd go with the Corsair one. 500W is plenty and XFX's customer service is not what it once was.

The CX500 is a poor unit, the Core 550 on the other hand is a very solid one.. between the two the XFX is the clear choice.

In regard to your power requirements, a 300W PSU is all you need.
