Not excited DICE... I'm disgusted. I hope no one here buys it.

Because $9~$19 expansion packs are a bad thing... ??

Cigars only last an hour (or so), the expansion will last forever. What is your revulsion to this news. The ONLY thing I can think of, is that you don't have money to buy them? Or that too many maps is bad..?

The only problem with expansion maps is that DICE never comes out with enough of them. 2142 starved for more maps... BC2 starved (until Vietnam expansion), etc...

Since there is no player built content, we'll have to snatch up these inexpensive map packs when they come out.

I support it, Because i support Developers that give me entertainment. Hell, I've spent more on dinners then alot of my DLCs combined. I'm okay. As long as they port it to Steam.

it is true that games had less resources back then but then if thats the case, today games should be worth way more. with more RnD available and games to learn from and make better, they should inherently be worth more.

you brought up cars for instance:

you buy a ford mustang back in the 60s-$3000
you buy a ford mustang now-$30000-80000

the difference is inflation and the learning from you mentioned earlier.

if you apply the difference to the games similar to cars:

video games would cost $500.

i dont see why people are getting pissy about shellin out a few extra bucks over something that has not been touched by inflation.

would you rather them not do DLC and then ask for a $500 price upfront?

i think not.

you buy a sub at subway and ask for xtra cheese. are you goin to complain when they charge you for it? the same applies for the games. you want some more? ya get charged

Blind or just troll? Try reading and responding to the entire post next time.

Oh and FYI, $1 in 1987 was not 15 times as valuable as $1 is today. Nice try though.

You guys are presuming the content is worth $20. Are these really expansions like in the old days or more like $20 for two maps?

Would you be fine with paying $20 for 2 maps. Then there are 5 of these map packs. $100 for 10 maps?
