sigh another one bites the dust

Ok gang I got a problem.

My OCZ Modxtream 600w died this morning. I think...

I just upgraded to my sig build and was playing bad company 2 happily along and all of sudden computer froze. I restarted and what do you know computer wont boot...

I troubleshooted with my backup video card (gts 250) and no luck. no POST, no BIOS nothing. The video card (both 6970 and gts 250) whirls up and to 100% fan speed like normal boot and speed fluctuates almost like a pulsating sound after that and continues.

anyway the psu served me well for 2.5 years and time for a new one.

I will never run crossfire sli w/e just single card config with ample headroom.
i need some recommendation for EDIT: modular PSU!!! thank you.

UPDATE OK guys Ive finally decided. with lot of good recommendations i think i will go with the seasonic model. Hopefully seasonic will live up to its name

OCZ PSUs are ok unless you like hearing the fan going out ever since you turned on our computer for the first time. Go with a nice HX or TX from Corsair.

They were/are decent FSP units that came with a 3 year warranty, so call/mail OCZ and ask for a replacement.. see what they offer in return, maybe ask for a ZT 550 for a small difference
