32 bit v 64 bit

Im currently running 32 bit win xp sp3 ( cant find any of my win 7 cds) since my cpu supports 64 bit as well as my motherboard should i be running 64 bit?

Yes, and with x64 it will use all 4GB of your ram, unlike 32.

windows 64bit will support and use more than 4GB RAM and it will be somewhat faster than 32bit.

I was told that 64-bit can use all your 4GB RAM, while 32-bit can only handle 4GB total system memory (including your GPU's memory and stuff, so really around 3GB to 3.5GB).

Then again, I recall people saying 64-bit also uses a bit more RAM for its programs, but not by much.

Yea, its a lot better to go 64 bit. You'll be able to use more than 4gb of RAM. You might not feel any difference if you don't do any video encoding, rendering or hardcore gaming.
