Sorry about no update last week, I didn't really get much done as I had to get the system temporarily usable to get on with some uni work.

It's a good concept that would work well with the color scheme, I only have 10m of white sleeving which sadly wouldn't be enough frown.gif I'm kind of thinking it would be easier not to have the white at all?

I've been thinking about this some more and really like your idea thumb.gif if a couple more people like it I'll bite the bullet and order more sleeving from mdpc biggrin.gif

Cheers, I'm subbed to your thread, loving the new paintwork by the way thumb.gif

Until later in the week when I can finish the 4 6 pin connectors I'll leave you with some screens of the system running (Currently its only being cooled by one 360 rad and two fans so temps should decrease / stabilize once I get another 360 rad and 4 more fans. The pump is also being down volted by a power adjust 2 ultra

Here's a shot of how the bootloader looks, this isn't a screen shot of mine though it looks the same as this apart from the linux partition

88.jpg

Current GPU overclock, not sure how this is for 670 FTW's in sli, its not been fine tuned so I know it can still go a bit higher and the overclock is linked for both cards

89.jpg

Everything showing correctly in Mountain lion

91.jpg

Both GPU's recognised, though no sli obviously

Another update biggrin.gif making up for missing one last week

Here's one side of the rad box, I've now contacted Dwood about making some inset grills for me so hopefully there will be an update on that soon
92.jpg

For the part of the system with tubing in between the case and the rad box I ordered some Norprene tubing to eliminate any plasticiser issues
93.jpg

Holes drilled in the mount for the reservoirs
94.jpg

The reservoirs mounted
95.jpg

The pump connected under the mount, for this I used bitspower fittings with a long thread and added a washer on both sides of the aluminium plate
96.jpg

Just found this shot of the EK Supreme HF EN, pretty flat though you can see a slight deviation in it
97.jpg

Hope you guys like it so far thumb.gif

It's getting there slowly but surly thumb.gif

It's called Pokki, I really like how well it works with windows 8 because its not just a copy of the windows 7 start menu like most the others

Four things:

  1. How do you like the corsair rad fans?  Would you recommend them?
  2. What is the norprene tubing like?  Does it feel prone to kinking?  I am looking into the tubing for a future build.
  3. How do you like those Bowers and wilkins??  Ive seen them in MaximumPC, always wondered if they were worth it.
  4. Your build is epic biggrin.gif

Thanks!

Thanks!

1. When I bought them I only did it for the looks and the low db rating in all honesty. After installing them I'm really impressed with the performance. I have one 360mm rad with two of these fans on and its keeping my two overclocked FTW 670's at an idle of 24 ish and 36 ish under load on battlefield 3 (Only rough estimates after looking at the EVGA Precision temp chart after about 45 mins gaming)

In terms of noise they are audible though I think that's only the sound of the air passing through the rad, and this sound is quiet enough to blend in with even the slightest of background noise so the pump running at a 60% duty cycle is more noticeable

2. I got the norprene tubing to eliminate any plasticiser leaching, it feels the same as latex type material on wet suites. So far I have only used it for some temporary runs until I get a chance to continue with the copper pipe though I have just done some very non scientific tests to give you an idea of its kink-ability, for these tests the arc is 5cm deep with a varying length

25cm length arc - no deformation
98.jpg

20cm length arc - no deformation
99.jpg

15cm length arc - no deformation
100.jpg

10cm length arc - tubing very slightly starting narrow on bend
101.jpg

Tightest 90 degree bend before the tube starts to kink
102.jpg

After a 10cm arc length the tube quickly starts to kink by about 7 - 8 cm

Hope this helps answer your question a bit thumb.gif

3. I really love these speakers biggrin.gif I have a small desk so monitors were not really a viable option. They don't provide a heavy base so depending on the style of music you listen too they may not be suitable. The audio is very balanced for music and creates a good atmosphere in games. I don't really have anything of similar quality to compare them too so this is just my personal opinion.

4. Thanks biggrin.gif Hope I've helped a bit with this post thumb.gif

Yeah this is the theme I used, when I get the chance I'm going to modify a few of the images in photoshop thumb.gif

It's great having a bootloader at 1920 x 1200 thumb.gif
