Here is some of my gaming advice.
, Crysis 2
, and Dues Ex:Human Revelution
- three games I've enjoyed trememdously as of late.
I've always considered Crysis
as a game with a refreshing feel to first person shooters. The campaigns are awesome. Crysis 2
raised the bar on graphics when it first released and the game everyone tried to get their rig to play/compare to being very graphic demanding.
campaign is great. Their online multiplayer raised the bar so high, even my addicted kids to Call of Duty
are asking for it for Christmas on their PS3 console.
Though people thought it would be demanding as hell, I'm playing BF3 on Ultra 4xMSAA maxed settings and my card is pushing the 60FPS avg.
The mass VRAM & GPU performance required to be playable hysteria was all speculative hype. On the plus side, it was great for Nvidia and AMD sales.
A third game I've enjoyed more of a role-playing first person shooter has been Duex Ex:Human Evolution
. Not as graphical intensive however. I've got that fully maxed and it's not even taking a toll on my card. I'm eating those graphics up scaled all the way with the slider up on everything.
As for which driver you should be using....the latest that's not beta IMO. I hate using beta drivers for anything. I've always upgraded to the latest final release drivers since getting this card and haven't had any issues. The current driver is 285.62
Good luck with your new card, I'm positive your going to love it.
