Gaming mice recommendations

Thread Starter
I'm in the market for a new mouse. My old wolf king trooper needs to be replaced.Things I'm looking for are,

size I have a big hand
prefer corded but not a must have
programmable buttons
laser or optical
reliability

As far as the buttons go,I have bigger fingers so close button don't go well.On my trooper I have 2 side buttons, mouse wheel, left and right buttons.

I was looking at the logitec G500.Anyone use this mouse.
I'm trying to stay around the $50 area, but may add a little if its the right mouse.Time frame to buy around the 2 week area.

All recomendations are welcome, its been 1 1/2 years that I have had this mouse.

G400 or Deathadder

I really don't like the R.A.T.

Not too experienced with mice but my Microsoft Sidewinder(original) is both weighty and pretty large(very large compared to the mice i've used at stores). Has three 1000,1600, and 2000 DPI buttons, and two buttons on the side that are programmable.

Pretty old but it seems pretty reliable. Something to at least LOOK AT...

All deathadders have an optical sensor, but I think their site listing for the left hand one is messed up. Anyways, depending on if you are left or right handed get that one. If you are going to buy one.

There are two different versions of the deathadder. There's a black edition and the regular. Neither are laser sensors though. They both use the AVago S3888 sensor! :]

Anything but Razer. Unless you want your scroll wheel is wear out and just spin, then have it randomly cut off and on. Have fun having your mouse die in the middle of a game and wait for it to turn back on.
